Connecticut’s Largest Entrepreneurial Awards Event
Less than one month remains to submit nominations for the 2020 Connecticut Entrepreneur Awards, which identify, recognize, and celebrate Connecticut’s leading entrepreneurs and ventures, and the ecosystem elements that support them.
Nominations will close on January 20, 2020 in both judged and community-favorite categories for an array of entrepreneurial endeavors. The online nomination process is simple and normally takes just a minute or two to complete. There is no limit to how many nominations can be entered by an individual. Nominations can be made online at www.ctentrepreneurawards.com.
Qualifying nominated award candidates are promoted to finalist status and participate in the community voting and judging where appropriate. The following categories are now open for nominations:
* Entrepreneur
– Scaling (>$1MM revenue)
– Scalable
– Main street
– Social good
– Student (<25 years old)
* Venture
– Revenue
– Pre-revenue
* Community Builder
* Space
* Program
* Economic Development
* Event
* Education
* Corporate/Institutional
Once nominees have been verified, community online voting will begin on February 1. A national panel of expert judges will select the program’s tops winners in the Entrepreneur, Venture, and Community Builder categories. A special event announcing and celebrating the 2020 winners is on April 20 at the Pratt & Whitney Hanger Museum in East Hartford.
2020 program sponsors include: Entrepreneurship Foundation, Keating Agency Insurance, Murtha Cullina, Pratt & Whitney, UHY Advisors, Universal Connectivity and Entrepreneur’s Organization CT. The CT Entrepreneur Awards are a product of the CT Entrepreneur Event Organizers consortium, an all-volunteer cooperative effort of people and organizations that host and facilitate entrepreneur-facing events in Connecticut. The annual awards – which honor more than 60 entrepreneurs and ventures from all parts of Connecticut – were first awarded in 2017. A number of winners from previous years are currently being featured on the CT Entrepreneur Awards website, sharing updates on the progress they’ve made since being selected.
