We recently had a chance to catch-up with Gregory Makoul and ask him a few questions about his progress since being recognized as our 2017 Venture of the Year: Revenue, Here’s what he said.


How has your business progressed since you won the 2018 Entrepreneur of the Year: Scalable Venture?

We’ve grown in terms of both sales and scope. Now have three digital solutions: PatientWisdom, ProviderWisdom, and CommunityWisdom.


What was the impact to you and/or your business, if any, in being named Venture of the Year: Revenue?

Internally, it reinforced what we do as a team. Externally, it is one of the awards we show on the first slide of our sales deck.

Knowing what you know now, what would you have done differently while you were developing your business?

Looking back, can more clearly differentiate between our build phase and growth phase, and map resources/expectations/timeline for each.


What aspects or resources of the CT entrepreneurial ecosystem have helped your business the most?

Connecticut Innovations; the talent pool.
