* Sponsored the Minority Entrepreneurs Small Business Showcase at Connecticut's newest mall in Norwalk, CT "SoNo Collection". *Sponsored Community Social Service Expo at the "SoNo Collection" mall. Leading social services agencies from Hartford to Stamford showcased their services, which provides support for families and entrepreneurs as they grow their businesses. *Youth & Adult Empowerment Seminars *Holiday Pop Up Shop Downtown featuring small minority businesses

What community building goals did you accomplish or milestones did you hit in 2020?

Connected the community to small businesses. Created a platform for exposure for small businesses. Created social media platforms that encouraged entrepreneurship. Connected entrepreneurs to wrap around supportive services needed to succeed. Exposed small minority business owners to the importance of becoming certified as SMBE. Created an opportunity for businesses to showcase in the downtown area of Bridgeport. Developed & implemented Personal & Professional Development Training programs.

Nominator Justification

Marcia has for two decades championed minority businesses, provided tireless encouragement, and access to customers through pop-up shops at a mall and most recently in a storefront in downtown Bridgeport between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
