InsurTech Hartford is a community building organization focusing on innovation in the insurance industry. We have grown from a small organization running hackathons and meetups to a globally recognized brand with an annual symposium and innovation challenge.
We have thousands of followers and partnerships across the US, Europe, Middle East and Asia. We have been able to help dozens of entrepreneurs gain exposure to the insurance industry and connect them to investors, partners, etc.
Tell us about the entrepreneurial milestones you accomplished?
We received trademark rights for the term InsurTech in 2018. This allowed us to confidently grow our organization without fear of IP conflicts. We launched an innovation challenge in 2020 that was originally intended to be a local event. Instead we pivoted to an online event which allowed us to make it a global challenge. As a result, participation and attendance was far beyond our original expectations. Our last in-person event in Feb, 2020 had record attendance - we are still growing!
