Describe your event

As the President of Career DECA I lead a virtual fundraiser through the CT Food Bank. As well as raising m money to give to students in need during the pandemic.

What are the coolest, most popular features of your event?

The coolest feature of the event was being able to give back to my peers. I know many students are working during school which can take a toll on them. We were able to contact companies to raise the money. Being able to give them gift cards to get groceries was very rewarding.

What impact did your event make is 2020?

I was able to help my peers focus on school for maybe just an extra day since they had money for groceries. They also could've treated themselves to something with that extra money. Overall we were able to take a little weight off their shoulders.
