Describe your space (<500 characters)

Since its founding, West Hartford Coworking has been the ideal place for independent entrepreneurs, freelancers, remote workers, and small businesses to get things done. The recent acquisition of the space by mother-daughter duo Annette Farese and Annisa Teich of Bromleigh Ventures has expanded upon that mission with a move into a new, larger space @ 430 New Park Avenue, a drop in our already affordable coworking rates, and the added layer of small business services and support to include marketing, bookkeeping and more.

What are the coolest, most popular features of your space? (<500 characters)

Unlike other coworking spaces that provide a seat at a large table, your day with us begins and ends at an individual, private desk. We also offer free, coffee, tea, and snacks, free unlimited copying and printing and plenty of FREE PARKING on-site. But the coolest space may be our Wellness Room. Great for new moms, a little midday meditation, and a break from the inbox. This quiet, comfortable space is the perfect way to recharge.

What impact did your space make in 2019? (<500 characters)

In December 2019, West Hartford Coworking launched The Content Lab - in partnership with The Connecticut Bloggers Collective. This facility provides our members and other local entrepreneurs and small businesses with the tools and services to up-level their self-made content. The Content Lab rents just like a conference room and comes equipped to record podcasts, video content, and custom photo shoots. We now have 4 podcasts that call the space home including - Progress Not Perfection, Uncommon Conversation, 2020 Vision, and Channel Your Influence, with more in the pipeline. The space has become an outlet for local voices and important conversations and we are thrilled to be part of this movement.

Bringing the city and suburb together as one community, "because town lines should never hinder collaboration and opportunity." Actively involved in invigorating the neighborhood... working with area businesses to help extend that activity from New Britain Avenue all the way into Parkville.

West Hartford Co-Working actively seeks to improve the community in which it operates and create a space conducive to the success of other entrepreneurs. From hosting informative events to being active with the local Chamber of Commerce and helping others find ways to utilize the space and others that occupy it to grow, I think what is offered makes them the ideal candidate for this award.
