How do you train, educate or prepare entrepreneurs? (<500 characters)
My belief is that having an innovative, inclusive and community focused education system will create an ecosystem that helps entrepreneurs thrive and grow.
What impact did your program have in 2019? (<500 characters)
In 2019 we accomplished the following to help our great community of educators.
-Grew our social media reach from 2000+ followers across 5 networks in 2018 to 3800+ in 2019
-Recorded 14 podcast episodes and had over 800 plays
-Shared 25+ videos as part of our Two Minute Tuesday video series from educators and professionals across the state
-Hosted multiple events including professional development webinars and a live event at the Microsoft store
-Presented our mission and did live podcasts from the CECA/CASL conference in Hartford (one of the biggest educator conferences in the state)
-Created a map of Connecticut innovation including libraries, Colleges, Universities, Makerspaces and CoWorking spaces
-Began the planning of a TedXEd event that we are planning to host in the fall of 2020

Nick Wagner Sr. is a pillar of the CT entrepreneurial community. In 2016, he founded Innovate CT with the mission to promote innovation in Connecticut schools and colleges through knowledge and best practice sharing. Among his many accomplishments in 2019 he curated and shared 25 videos from educators and professionals across the state as part of a Two Minute Tuesday series, hosted multiple events including professional development webinars and a live event at the Microsoft store, did live podcasts from the CECA/CASL conference in Hartford, created a map of Connecticut innovation including libraries, Colleges, Universities, Makerspaces and CoWorking spaces, and began planning a TEDxEd Conference that will take place in 2020. His impact on driving education and innovation in CT is clear, as he was selected as last year's Community Builder of the Year, grew his social following from 2000 to 3800 and hosted 14 podcast episodes that had 800 plays in 2019. Nick continues to build InnovateCT with a true, selfless passion for helping others and driving education, innovation and entrepreneurship throughout the state of Connecticut.
