Artemis Wellness Center is an integrative medical center that nurtures optimal wellness and addresses the cause of disease (body, mind, spirit) in a comprehensive way. Dr Artemis Morris, the medical director and founder of Artemis Wellness Center, combines the best of conventional medical care with licensed, credentialed, authentic Naturopathic medicine, Acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, herbal medicine, nutriceutical advice and more.
Dr. Artemis Morris is also the co-academic director with Dr Bernie Siegal of the Integrative Health and Healing Program at The Graduate Institute (www.learn.edu) and professor of nutrition at The Human Nutrition Institute at University of Bridgeport, where she also taught nutrition for the Naturopathic Medical School. She completed her Naturopathic Doctorate and Masters in Acupuncture at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington and has been in practice for over 18 years. Dr Artemis has served as the director of the natural health center at Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford, the largest geriatric healthcare center in CT where she did research on acupuncture and pain management. Dr. Artemis has been writing, researching and presenting on the Mediterranean Diet and plants of Crete since 2005 and lectures at medical conferences on The Mediterranean diet and other natural health topics. Dr Artemis Morris co-authored the book The Anti-Inflammation Diet for Dummies. Her practice philosophy is inspired by the quote from Paracelsus that states, "The art of healing comes from nature and not from the physician. Therefore, the physician must start from nature with an open mind."

Tell us about the entrepreneurial milestones you accomplished in 2019 (<500 characters) e.g., patents received, growth rate, and successful MVP, trial, or exit, etc…
2019 was a culminating year of growth, personally and professionally, with a focus on clarity, integrity, resilience, and letting go of things that were not working to create a safe space where authentic healing and optimal wellness are cultivated.
In 2017 after almost two decades of an established practice in milford CT, I rebranded as Artemis Wellness Center, specialized in empowering women's wellness, and went out-of-network to be able to better serve my patients and their families. In 2019, as in other years, Dr Artemis Morris and Artemis Wellness Center were voted best acupuncturist, best nutritionist, and best holistic weight-loss center by the people's choice awards through Natural Nutmeg Magazine. In 2019 I also presented locally, nationally, and internationally at medical conferences on neuro-inflammation and depression, stress and resilience, women's health and the microbiome, and wild edible plants in the Mediterranean diet, among other topics and wrote various articles on similar topics. Through the Women's Business Development Center (WBDC), I also learned more about running a healthy business with the aim of aligning my personal, professional, and fiscal goals.
