Company/organization description (<500 characters)
CTFI produces award winning original films of varying formats, made entirely in the state of CT, by utilizing the vast talent of CT creatives. We raise awareness for rampant issues plaguing our communities, including addiction and domestic violence, through our documentary pieces. Film For Therapy, an entrepreneurial concept developed within our initiative to promote the healing power of film, allows us to serve as advocates of social change and, especially, shine a spotlight on the work of the entrepreneurs who have established organizations designed for the greater good.
Tell us about the entrepreneurial milestones you accomplished in 2019 (<500 characters) e.g., patents received, growth rate, and successful MVP, trial, or exit, etc…
The year 2019 brought us the means to develop Film For Therapy, (our social movement created within the CT Film Initiative, to revolutionize film-making as a form of Art Therapy) into its own Non-Profit entity. We have established our Board of Directors, received recognition for our first documentary piece, solely utilizing the talent of CT artists, and conducted public marketing and press events. We were able to highlight the work of fellow Non-Profit organizations, in which we have cultivated partnerships across the state.

What people are saying about Christina Sciongay ...
Christina is the business co-founder of the CT Film Initiative and co- creator and developer of an original movement called Film For Therapy. She and her business partner created this idea from scratch, using film production as art therapy and giving an outlet for those in non-profit groups including domestic violence and addiction awareness. She is a social advocate in politics and also creates and facilitates University training and development programs. Christina is one of the most innovative, intelligent and creative people that I know, and also one of the most humble. Lauren
