About the CT Entrepreneur Awards
CT Entrepreneur Awards 2017

The CT Entrepreneur Awards identify, recognize, and celebrate Connecticut’s leading entrepreneurs, ventures, and ecosystem elements that support them.

The CT Entrepreneur Awards are a product of the CT Entrepreneur Event Organizers consortium. This is an all-volunteer cooperative effort of all the people and organizations that host and facilitate entrepreneur-facing events in CT. Proceeds from the CT Entrepreneur Awards go directly into funding the statewide Entrepreneur Events Calendar.

Planning has already begun for the 2018 CT Entrepreneur Awards. For more information about the event or the Entrepreneur Event Calendar, including how to get involved or become a sponsor, contact Bill Kenney at scallywag@ctevents.co.

Results Announced CT Entrepreneur Awards 2017

Tonight, in a sold-out awards event at the Stony Creek Brewery in Branford, the 2017 CT Entrepreneur Awards were presented. The program featured both judged and community-favorite categories. Nominations began in January 2017 and then 14 expert judges from 13 states evaluated the finalists to identify winners in four categories. A 30-day community-voting period during February and March 2017 yielded 18,709 unique votes for the 221 finalists in 11 categories. 61 Connecticut cities and towns were represented by the finalists.

"The CT Entrepreneur Awards showcased the tremendous bench of entrepreneurial talent we have here in our State," said Eric Knight, Founder and President of Remarkable Technologies Inc. and one of the event's organizers.  "These persons and entities demonstrated boundless creativity and performance in their ventures.  It was great to reward the many successes."

"Based on the tremendous response across the State for this inaugural event, we are certain to repeat and expand the CT Entrepreneur Awards next year," said Tony Vengrove, Founder & CEO of Miles Finch Innovation and Makery Coworking. "The startup grind has its ups and downs and we believe it is critical for Connecticut’s entrepreneurial community to take time to celebrate its progress and successes."
